What is the difference between WLL and breaking strength?
Working load limit (WLL) is the rated working capacity of the equipment. Breaking strength measures something different and must not be used as the allowable working load.
Do all tie-down straps fit the same hooks and anchors?
No. Hook type, anchor compatibility, strap width and length, and component ratings can vary. Check specifications before using the equipment.
How should I inspect a ratchet strap before use?
Check the webbing for cuts, fraying and abrasion, and inspect the hooks, stitching and ratchet for damage. Remove unsafe or damaged equipment from service.
